Today I got to help out with Harpo’s physical examination. We put him in a squeeze cage and drew some blood just like we did with his buddy Milo.

And yesterday I got to be a part of the Sea Lion Show! It was incredible. If you haven't seen one in a while, check this video out! It's from a trainer's point of view and it's amazing! They are some sea otters in there too but it's ok. I love them too!
Even Milo and Harpo get into the whole training thing!
We went in while the trainers were doing their training and feeding show. Dr. Adams does this every so often to make sure the seals and sea lions are comfortable with him. Several of the behaviors the sea lions are taught are for veterinary purposes.
They open their mouths so Lance can check out their mouths and teeth and they hold their nose to a target so he can look in their eyes. It was an amazing experience. These are some smart animals and they do some pretty cool tricks!
